With heavy hearts, we share the sad news that we lost Jo Dooley last month. As one of the founders of 

A-major Music, Inc., she was unstoppable and made the world of music go around for thousands of students, parents, teachers and families for over 40 years in Lake County. With a mission for music education, she built a beautiful community that continues to thrive and bloom every day. 

A-major Music is OPEN

A-major Music will continue to serve the community and honor her legacy as we enter our 41st year in business. 

Our hearts go out to all of her family and friends.

Jo’s family has planned an open house a “Toast to Jo” event on

Saturday, May 24th from 4:30pm - 8pm at Steven’s Restaurant in Gurnee, IL.
